Chinese battery manufacturer CATL has revealed it is in the midst of developing solid-state electric car batteries that could eventually offer up to 400Wh/kg of density. According to Chinese media reports paraphrased by Twitter user Moneyball, Xiang Yanhuo, President of CATL's Passenger Vehicle Solutions Department, told a recent conference the company's long-term plans involved introducing solid-state batteries with density of between 350-400Wh/kg.
