Does a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine work in a large luxury SUV? That was the question on my mind before getting behind the wheel of the 2021 Lexus RX300 Sports Luxury. My mind started really questioning this, especially when I found the kerb weight to be just shy of two tonnes.

2022 BMW 2 Series side profile spied undisguised with box arches, sharp lines

The upcoming 2022 BMW 2 Series' side profile has been spotted undisguised, ahead of its full debut in the coming months. A pair of images posted on the DeCoches blog present the 'G42' 2 Series side-on, revealing it will feature box-style front and rear wheel arches, a sharp body crease, a traditional Hofmeister window kink (unlike the larger 4 Series coupe), and flush door handles similar to those of the i4, iX and other upcoming BMW models.

Lexus IS Wax Edition unveiled with onboard vinyl record player

The US subsidiary of Lexus has produced a one-off 'Wax Edition' based on its IS medium sedan. As the name suggests, the vehicle features an inbuilt record player in lieu of its glovebox. The vehicle was built as a promotional exercise with music publication Pitchfork, as part of their "Driven by Sound" documentary series. Lexus involved Los Angeles-based production house SCPS to help outfit the showroom-specification IS350 F Sport for show-car duties.

Hyundai Kona: Snapchat augmented-reality lens launched for facelifted small SUV

In collaboration with Snapchat, Hyundai has launched an augmented-reality lens that will allow Snapchatters to inspect the Hyundai Kona small SUV in the comfort of their own homes. Snapchatters can do so by scanning the Snapcode (pictured bottom of story), or searching for the lens via the Lens carousel. Once engaged the latest technology and features of the Kona can be viewed by users.
