Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition revealed for the US

Nissan North America has revealed the Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition, essentially an off-road styling package for its three-row SUV. The company says the special edition emphasises "the rugged Pathfinder heritage", acknowledging the rugged capabilities of previous generations that were based on the Navara ute. Buyers can opt for the Rock Creek package for an additional US$995 ($1375.64) over the base car, available on both SV and SL variants in the US with two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

Aston Martin AMR Drivers' Club track experience announced

Aston Martin has announced a new track program, designed to give customers access to some of the world's most famous circuits with full tuition. Dubbed the AMR Drivers' Club, the program will have three different levels, each designed to cater for drivers of different levels – from beginner, all the way through to wannabe racer. AMR Experience is the entry-level pack, offering "an introduction to the brand and products" and one-on-one tuition with an Aston Martin instructor.

Compared to the regular A1, this off-road-style variant has taller ride height, different front and rear bumper designs, revised side sills, and, possibly, some extra protection for the wheel arches.

Designed by the company's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition was unveiled overnight. Available only during 2019, the special edition Velar has a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 pumping out 404kW of power, and capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and hitting a top speed of 274km/h.

Mental health charity Drive Against Depression will run four tarmac rallies in 2019, designed to let drivers properly experience their cars on closed roads around Victoria. The charity, which aims to raise awareness about depression and anxiety, has partnered with WD Motorsport Touring Super Sprint for events at Mount Baw Baw, Lake Mountain, Snowy River and Marysville.
